Kathleen Tullie founded BOKS (Build Our Kids’ Success) after piloting a program she thought every kid needed: a chance to be active and healthy before school began! Research has shown that physical activity and proper nutrition have a huge impact on kids’ attention span and ability to learn. Since she recognized that Physical Education was only being offered weekly in the schools, she let the neighborhood know she would be conducting these before school activities! Eighty kids signed up the first week and the program has ballooned since!
