Hattitude started with me just wanting to learn how to knit a beanie, while taking to colleges courses and taking care of two small boys. Within 6 months of learning how to knit, Hattitude was started. I love what I do and have an intense passion for fashion and knitting. I have no inventory as all the items I knit are custom and made-to-order. I love nothing more than having a client with a vision, and delivering exactly what they had envisioned. \\nIn the past 2 years, I have had my lines in multiple boutiques, all in the Seattle area. \\nI do not consider Hattitude a \\&quot;job\\&quot; because I love what I do, so much. With or without a business, I would be knitting almost daily. That's how much of a passion knitting is for me. Out of thousands of hats, I've never sold a single one with a mistake. Not only am I passionate, I'm also a perfectionist. :) \\nI love custom, so the sky is the limit. I was contacted by a church that wanted $1,000 in hats for a local children's hospital. It took me MONTHS. I poured my heart and soul into it. I lost a lot of weight and was up until 2-3am every night during the process. They wanted basic hats and that's what the hats were priced at (half price). I took the ball and ran with it. These hats were over-the-top amazing. It still brings tears to my eyes thinking about those children and their excitement about their new hats. \\nI have been asked, for 3 years now, to donate to our local zoo's auction, which is an honor, as this auction is very selective with their choices for donations. \\nThere are two breast cancer auctions that I donate to each year. I'm sure I will until my hands cannot knit anymore. (I lost one aunt to breast cancer and have one aunt that is a 5 year survivor.)\\nIn 2012, I was asked by Nordstrom to meet with their buyers at the headquarters. I went, they loved my stuff and wanted it, but I chose to not go that route as I do not want a huge factory with machines. The #1 thing I love about Hattitude is that it is all hand-made and custom. \\nIn the fall of 2012, I was asked if I was interested in having my own boutique in Pike Place Market!
