Listen to our Interview with Irene Yiribin of Maravilla to find out!
Irene Yibirin (yee-bee-reen) has been studying and organizing film festivals for quite some time! So, it was nothing new when she and a friend decided to put on the first ever Venezuelan Film Festival in New York City in 2013. Though it didn’t bring in the money she had wanted, it definitely established her brand…1200 people attended! Determined to make 2014’s festival bigger and better, she teamed with a handful of others to create the mother company Maravilla, an organization dedicated to showcasing South American arts and films. In this inspiring interview, Irene talks about what marketing strategy she implemented to get 2,200 attendees to her 2014 event, her incredibly creative community strategy and how anyone with a niched passion can create a business!
Irene’s Kick-A$$ Quotes:
You have to be very clear on what is it you want to do…what is your goal?
For a team to work, you need to have different perspectives and different skills.
It was clear who was in charge of what and what the responsibilities were, and that made it so much easier to work!
