Kate Matsudaira (Mat-su-deera) is a techie.  From corporate gigs with Amazon and Microsoft to Chief Technology Officer positions with a few startups, she leveraged her technology skills to learn the business of business and leadership!  She started her company Popforms partially because she had to “put her money where her mouth was” since she had been talking about having her own company for so long and partially because her blog readers were telling her what they needed: professional training.  In this inspiring interview, Kate talks about why she decided not to raise funds to start her business, how she’s successfully bootstrapped it and how she’s managed to train her growing team to be leaders in the company so successfully, that it allowed her to take maternity leave in her business in its very first year!
