Zoe Barry is the Founder of ZappRx, a mobile technology company whose mission it is to revolutionize the prescription process.  Their technology connects the patient, physician and pharmacist with a mobile platform that makes the prescription process a heck of a lot easier and user friendly.  She has a great story about how she took her idea and built it into a solid company who secured $1 million in funding in 2013.

Zoe gives her team (she doesn’t call them employees) unlimited vacation time. This works for her company because of the attitude with which she leads.  She hires highly motivated, self-starting people who are passionate about their jobs.  She treats them as high level professionals who are going to take ownership in their role in the company.

Break It Down In Order to See Where You Can Improve

Zoe is fanatical about constant improvement. If she ever feels like she wasn’t good enough, she will analyze exactly what happened and what could have been done better.  Whatever she learns from this process, she applies to her next moves.  After she secured $1 million in funding, she dissected what she could have done better.  Once she identified this, she went back to her investors and they “double downed!”
